Tostydtrade’s research team tested the call selling strategy using the SPX. They took the time period of 2009 to the present. They sold a call on the first trading day of each month (a total of 76 trades). They sold a one standard deviation call (84% OTM). They use the expiration that was closest to 45 DTE. They tested at managing at both 50% of possible profit and holding through expiration. A table was displayed with the results.
